4 wheeler to be given away at 2009 Banquet. Tickets $10.00 Available from any Board Member
The Giles County Deer Hunters Association was formed over 35 years ago by individuals who enjoyed the sport of hunting whitetail deer in Giles County, TN. The club started with only 30 members at it’s first meeting and has progressed to over 350 current members. As far as we know it is the biggest and oldest club of it’s kind in Tennessee. We are actively involved in the community helping charities including the Wakefield Scholastic Trap Club (high school skeet team), Hunters for the Hungry and anything we as hunters can do. We have an annual scoring day for our big buck contest. We feed the hunters safety class one night for each week long course in the county. We have an annual banquet after the end of hunting season and give away thousands of dollars worth of door prizes. The door prizes come from donations from local merchants and some items are purchased by our club including several guns. The awards for our deer contest are also presented at the banquet. We strongly support getting our youth involved in hunting. We promote safe and ethical deer hunting, encourage mutual relationships between members, landowners and the employees and agents of the TWRA.
